Scope
This standard specifies methods for the determination of multiple mycotoxins in foods. Method I, isotope internal standard-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry, is applicable to the determination of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), aflatoxin B2 (AFB2), aflatoxin G1 (AFG1), aflatoxin G2 (AFG2), deoxynivalenol (DON), nivalenol (NIV), 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3-AcDON), 15-acetyldeoxynivalenol (15-AcDON), deoxynivalenol-3-glucoside (DON-3-G), zearalenone (ZEN), ochratoxin A (OTA), fumonisin B1 (FB1), fumonisin B2 (FB2), fumonisin B3 (FB3), T-2 toxin (T-2), HT-2 toxin (HT-2), sterigmatocystin (ST), tenuazonic acid (TeA), alternariol (AOH), tentoxin (TEN) and alternariol monomethyl ether (AME) in cereals and cereal products and in cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children. Method II, immunoaffinity column clean-up-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry, is applicable to the determination of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), aflatoxin B2 (AFB2), aflatoxin G1 (AFG1), aflatoxin G2 (AFG2), deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEN), ochratoxin A (OTA), fumonisin B1 (FB1), fumonisin B2 (FB2), fumonisin B3 (FB3), T-2 toxin (T-2) and HT-2 toxin (HT-2) in cereals and cereal products, cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children, tea, nuts and seeds, and spices.
