Scope
This standard is applicable to the food additive capsicum oleoresin produced from the fruit of capsicum (Capsicum annuum L. or Capsicum frutescens L.) by solvent extraction, separation and refining. The solvents used are one or more of vegetable oil extraction solvent, methanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate, acetone, n-hexane, isopropanol, dichloromethane and carbon dioxide.
