Scope
This document describes a method for the determination of the oil content of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis wax. This document is applicable to the determination of the oil content of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis semi-refined wax and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis refined wax with a drop melting point in the range 80 °C to 115 °C and an oil content not higher than 5 % (mass fraction). Samples outside the measuring range may be tested with reference to this method, but the precision has not been verified.
