This document describes the test method for the flexural properties of continuous fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composites at elevated temperatures. This document is applicable to the testing of three-point or four-point flexural properties at elevated temperatures of one-dimensional (1D), two-dimensional (2D) and other multidimensional continuous fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composites. The maximum test temperature is 1 700 °C in air and 2 500 °C in vacuum or an inert atmosphere. It may be used for reference for testing the flexural properties at elevated temperatures of other high-temperature-resistant composites such as carbon/carbon composites.
