Scope
This document defines terms for sodium ion cells and batteries used in electrical energy storage systems, specifies the requirements, quality assessment, and marking, packaging, transport and storage, and describes the corresponding test methods. This document is applicable to sodium ion cells and batteries used in electrical energy storage systems (hereinafter referred to as "cells" and "batteries"). Electrical energy storage system applications include, but are not limited to: a) telecommunications; b) central emergency lighting and alarm systems; c) uninterruptible power supplies and emergency power supplies; d) stationary engine starting; e) photovoltaic systems; f) household (residential) energy storage systems; g) large-capacity energy storage.
