Scope
This Standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of compressed asbestos fibre jointing. This Standard applies to jointing sheets made by roll forming a mixture of asbestos fibres, rubber as binder and fillers, intended for sealing flange joints in oil and non-acid media. The sheets may also be used as reference material for other sealing gaskets.
